As the world goes up in flames
By: Jared Gills
Over the skylines the stars can’t been seen
From the factories that smoke to the cars that sing
Forest to fire on black market trade
Fuel charcoal productions from floods we create
Sinks of sludge that burn on command
To a greedy populous with oil on their hands
The bloods on our hands
As temperature rises lets disease mutation grow
As it starts crossing borders we’re losing control
Waring nations can’t unify for a cure
The path to extinction is becoming clear
From a virus in our bodies, to the virus of hate
Destructive powers exist all the same
Extinctions the same
Chorus 1:
We’re burning the bodies, just to keep safe
As the world goes up in flames
We’re stockpiling weapons; No one here’s to blame
What could they’ve done yesterday?
Chorus 2
We’re burning the bodies, just to keep safe
As the world goes up in flames
We’re stockpiling weapons, yes we are to blame
What could we’ve done yesterday?
